"With what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable will we use for it? 31 It is like a mustard seed, which, when sown upon the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth; 32 yet when it is sown it grows up and becomes the greatest of all shrubs, and puts forth large branches, so that the birds of the air can make nests in its shade." Mark 4:30-32

Recently, we asked members of the church and people around the community to help a needie family. I know that people are generious and willing to help, but i never could have dreamed of the out pouring of gifts and response for this family. The response for helping this family was truly remarkable. When we asked others to get involved i invisioned a few people givng some food and clothes. God saw fit to use this community to give those much needed items, and so much more.
i know that God is big and can do all things, but this truely drove that point home for me. While all of these gifts have been a blessing for this much needed family, it was also a blessing for me. It opened my eyes to how much can be accomplished when we allow God to work through us. It also helped me relize that we all have gifts to give, and whenever an oppurtunity is given to us to use our gifts and talents we should take it. Step out in faith and God will do the rest.
Because of the great generosity shown to this family, i could truely see the kingdom of God at work in our community.
God is good all the time!
